Billionaire Ira Rennert's Monstrous Mansion
Now you may not know the name, but you will probably recognize this billionaire's estate. Built facing the Atlantic Ocean in New York, the home is considered to be the largest built occupied estate in America. If the home was put up for sale, according to sources, the home would be the richest on the planet. The multiple buildings sitting on the 63 acre homestead accompany over 110,000 square feet, including the 66,000 square foot main house. The house which has a dozen chimneys and a Mediterranean-style tile roof includes a 91 foot long dining hall, 29 bedrooms and 39 bathrooms. Other commodities include a bowling alley, tennis court, squash courts and a $150,000 bath tub! The appraisal rates for this mansion were $397,559.00. So according to the appraised taxes, it would make the home around 170 million, making it the most expensive in the luxurious Hamptons New York and also throughout the world.
Philanthropist and Celebrity Bill Gate's Sprawling Estate
It is credited as the biggest in the US, but that just might be wrong. Bill and Melinda's Washington mansion sure is quite large, but other mansions that are currently "under construction" are looking to overtake the sq. footage trophy from long time holder Gates. Anyway, Bill’s house is currently the largest in the US and just one of the biggest in the world. Bill Gates is a big wig for Microsoft and other companies. He has made a bunch, a BUNCH of money. So he decided to spend a chunk of it on a large homestead. Now, America gets to drool over its intensity! The house, excuse me, mansion has a current value of 147.5 million dollars and is over 66,000 square feet! That’s around 1 and ½ acres. According to many sources, the house is a Pacific lodge style. Some amenities of the mansion include a massive swimming pool, staircases, 24 bathrooms, and six fireplaces. Some interesting things about this house include that the lights come on right when you walk in, you can tell the temp of the room from a microchip, and that the size of this house is 30 times larger than the average American home. The house is located in Medina, Washington overlooking Lake Washington.
Michael Dell's Corporation-Styled Home
This home is really unique. Looking at it from the air, it looks like a giant office building. But no, it’s a house! The house is considered to be the most expensive house in Texas. Owned by Michael Dell, this mansion is 33,000 square feet, half the size of Bill Gates’. It's located located in Austin, Texas, the capital. The house sits upon a hilltop overlooking Lake Austin. This house is truly unique and incredible. Michael's house usually gets overlooked because everyone is focused on Bill Gates' house! Well, I support you Michael Dell! Ha, very nice house by the way. PS, you laptops are...well, no comment.
John Schnatter's Private Lake Residence
Talk about a luxury home. As the founder, chairman and CEO of Papa John's, you know this pizza king has quite a bit of money. Papa John's is a big pizza chain in the United States that John Schnatter founded in 1984. It has grown tremendously and now Papa John's Pizza makes roughly 260 million a year on...pizza! That's enough "dough" (haha, get it..dough?) to buy a great ole mansion like this
