Bootjack Ranch
Located in Pogosa Springs, Colorado is the incredibly big and beautiful Boot Jack Ranch. The Boot Jack Ranch is a whopping 77,200 square feet and is divided up into different buildings. All the buildings are log cabin style with a slate roof. The home is quite luxurious when it comes to the outdoors. Probably the best part of the estate itself is the landscaping, scenery and mountains. The home is surrounded by 13,000 foot peaks and many lakes, ponds, streams, trees, bushes, and many more outdoor commodities. The main building is almost 14,000 square feet which holds four bedrooms, private offices, library, fitness room, outdoor spa, mud room, garages, and fireplaces. One of the most luxurious buildings is the 12,000 square foot water center with spa.
Fleur de Lys
So by the picture I am sure you can tell this home is pretty pricey; the actual price is $125,000,000. The mansion, titled Fleur de Lys, includes 41,000 square feet and 15 bedrooms. The French mansion with exquisite limestone was modeled after the Vaux le Vicomte, a palace in Paris, France. The home includes European architecture with Italitan marble walls, gold leaf crown moldings, and gold-embossed leather wall coverings. More amenities include a servant's quarters, ballroom, library, and 50 seat media room.
Mar-a-Lago
Wait, is this a residence or a theme park? Mar-a-Lago was previously owned by Marjorie Merriweather Post, the original owner of General Foods, Inc. The Mediterranean beauty is a whopping 110,000 square feet with over 50 bedrooms and bathrooms! She would later become the richest woman in America at the time with an estimated worth of 250 million U.S. dollars. When she died, she willed the estate to the federal government wanting the large house to be a winter village for the President. No president ever spent the night. Costing over $1,000,000 to take care of the home each year, the government gave the home to the post foundation. Today, the mansion, well, I should say club, is owned by Donald Trump. It WAS a mansion until he spent some pocket change and created a club for the 'well off' way upper class of America. This home sits on a lot close to 20 acres with all the lavish luxuries that come with a home of this size.
Graceland: Elvis' Estate
Everyone has heard of Elvis Presley as well as his famous historical mansion titled Graceland which lies in Memphis, Tennesee. Graceland is the second most visited estate in America, The White House holding the number one position. With a vast sum of land adding up to over 13 acres, this amazing almost-colonial type mansion is luxurious as well as historic. The King lived here! In 2006, Graceland received the honorary name of historical landmark. The home, located at 3734 Elvis Presley Bvld (sure sits on the appropriate street!) covers 17,552 sq. feet.
