Christmas Lights in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex

Christmas lights excite everyone for the Christmas holidays. There are several homes and neighborhoods in the DFW Metroplex that have gone above and beyond for special public viewings. The Park Cities, including Highland and University Park, are two affluent cities on the north side of Dallas in Dallas county.  Winding through the wooded street of the Park Cities, lights beautify the luxury homes and mansions.  Several websites and sources have strongly recommended light-lookers to visit the Park Cities for an excellent display of lights and Christmas decorations. 

Many homes in Mansfield, Texas are decorated with lights; however, one particular home on Carlin Road "dances" to 'Wizards in Winter' by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  I am not quite sure what the address is, but the home is at the end of the cul-de-sac on Carlin Road.  Carlin Road is located off Cannon Drive in Mansfield near First Baptist Church of Mansfield, Texas.  Take 287 south to Broad Street, exit Broad and go east.  The lights flash and dance to the great music of TSO; a must see! 

One subdivision in Plano is similar to the Park Cities: big homes with thousands of Christmas lights.  The small neighborhood of Deerfield in Plano near Preston Road and Coit Road boasts exquisite displays on luxurious homes and estates. 

Located in Grand Prairie, Texas, Prairie Lights is a driven tour through acres and acres of full Christmas light displays and decorations.  At one point in the tour, a Christmas light display of the Twelve Days of Christmas comes to view!  I do not want to ruin the experience for you.  Be sure to head over and view these amazing lights displays with over 4,000,000 lights spanning across 2 acres!
