God: A True Creator or A Non-Existent Thought

Does God exist? Is there a heaven and a hell? If so, how does one go to heaven? This hub will dig deep into these questions.

Does God Exist?

To answer this question, we must first look at 4 things very important to human life. First, let me start off by saying I am a Christian and I do believe there is a God. I also believe that he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for all of mankind's sins. If we accept and believe that he did this for us, we invite him to be our personal Lord and Savior. When you do this, you are ultimately guarenteed a spot in heaven, which I will touch on later. So back to the question Does God Exist. Lets look at the Earth. Our planet earth's size is just right. We are located at the exact point we need to be. If we were closer to the sun, we would burn up, but if we were moved away from the sun, we would all freeze. The sun and the moon are just the right location away to provide us with good temperatures and gravitational pulls. How could this be? Could the earth be in this near perfect location just from a big bang?

Second, lets look at the brain. The brain is almost the size of a kitten, but it takes in almost a million messages in a second, every color and object you see, and every single emotion. It is smarter than any computer or calculator. Could the big bang have made this?

A website I found comments on this saying, "God may not be provable in mathmatical formulae or properties of physics, but we live in an era where the evidence of an Intelligent Designer is all around us. Just look through the Hubble Telescope and peer into the massives cosmos. View the monitor of an electron-scanning microscope and delve into the intricate world of a microscopic cell. ...Study principles of quantum mechanics and investigate the world of the extra-dimensionality. Review the nature of your conscience, subconcious, standards of morality, and thoughts of religion. Then, try to reconcile all of these realities with a basic theory of randomness and chaos." (www.allaboutcreation.org).

This quote hits it dead on the nail. Look at all these complexities of life and if you still believe there is not a God who created all this unhuman belongings, you need to have your head examined. No big bang or a flying spaghetti monster could create all this! This is mearly God displaying himself before his creation.

Is There a Heaven and a Hell? And If So, How Does Someone Get There?

Once again, as a Christian, I do believe there is a heaven and a hell. Christians believe that if you repent your sins to God and ask him to come into your life, that you will be saved from hell and ascend to heaven when you die. People who do not accept this, like atheist, agnostics, etc, will be perished to hell. John 14:1-3 reads,"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's house [heaven] are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place I am going." What Jesus is saying here is clear and simple. He is now reigning in heaven with his father, God. Jesus is preparing a place for all believers in heaven. When we die, if you are a Christian, you will go to be with the Lord in heaven. However, there is an event near the end of times called the rapture, when the Lord will come down and get all of his followers and give us a new body and a new mind. No one knows when this will be; only God knows.

The last part of this verse reads "You know the way to the place I am going." This means that he, God, has told us the way to get to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ.
