I am in search to answer this question: Was electing Obama president a mistake? He says he will "change", but will that "change" be for the good?
America, why did you elect a man that refuses to put the pin of our great country's flag on his chest?
America, why did you elect a man who was a member in a non-patriotic church for 20 years? And his pastor said NOTHING good of America?
America, why did you elect a man whose own wife says, "For the first time, I am proud of this country"???
America, why did you elect a man who didn't even put his own hand over his heart during the national anthem?
America, why did you elect a man who has NO EXPERIENCE whatsoever?
America, why did you elect a man who supports the killing of innocent babies, INNOCENT?
America, why did you elect a man who wants to pull our troops out of Iraq, when that will only bring another terrorism threat to America?
Is this man really safe being our next president? Is this man really going to change America for good? Or for bad?

I didn't say since he didn't wear the pin he doesn't love our country. I was just implying that it would be nice for our president to show some respect for our country.

Actually you don't have to put your hand over your heart for the national athem. You put your hand over your heart for the pledge of alligence. Some people put their hands over their hearts for the national athem, some don't.

This is the bottom line John. Bush carried out a false flag attack upon the United States on 9/11. He also went into Iraq to steal oil. So, which is more patriotic, a president who want to restore the rule of law or a wild eyed maverick who murdered people out of greed and lust for power? It is an easy choice for me.
However, Obama is not without serious faults. One is that he is allowing the banks to run over the sovereignty of the United States. Instead he should temporarily nationalize them, make their bondholders share the pain, and return the banks into the private sector. He is allowing the multinational banks to raid the treasury of the United States. That is a dangerous policy and it is wrong. I hold Geithner and Summers responsible, because I think the power to control international bankers was lost 60 years ago.
How can you think that when someone attacks our country, we should just sit and not do anything? HUH? When a country attacks our nation, you think we shouldnt fight back. Thats real patriotic

Pres.Obama was wearing a pin last time I saw him address all those reporters( last 100 days thing) because I remembered thinking oh look I bought one of those when I first came to visit the States.
I hope you wont be offended if I comment since I am not American but I like the guy , I like his wife ,Michelle she seems a smart inteligent woman too surely a positive role model for many young aspiring women the world over. Im glad that the majority of Americans voted Obama in and Bush out. Many countries are encouraged and their trust in America is slowly being restored with a man willing to lead positive initiatives again. Global stablisation can only be a good thing.
I do not think any man is a saint not even a United States President but he has my respect this far for at least pulling up his sleeves and doing the best he can with what he was left with.
I enjoyed you hub and its great to learn the diversity of thoughts.

Obama is going to take the guns away from Texans, so they don't try to secede, but I wish he would just let them go be part of Mexico.

Hey, it is early days yet. Give the guy a chance before judging him. I reckon he deserves at least 2 to 3 years before anyone could honestly say electing him was a mistake or a wise decision, after all, change takes time!
@eagle The only reason obama put on a pin was because there was so much aggravation over the pin and why he wouldnt wear it. After this, he decides to put on the pin and actually give America respect.
Actually, Obama is not what you think he is. One of his focuses is 'spread the wealth' which is strongly socialistic. Another thing he wants to do is raise taxes. When you are redistributing wealth, taxes will be on the increase. Read up on socialism and read some of Obama's position on these things. There WILL be some resemblance.
Your right about Michelle being a role model, but I am not so sure about the 'intelligent part'. She hugged the queen. I mean are you kidding?! Everyone knows you DONT touch the queen.
Also, I have no respect for her. How dare she come out and say, "For the first time, I am proud of this country." She said this just because her husband was running for office. She deserves very little respect.
For the next four years, I will just be holding on tight watching what America was built on slowly pass away and America will now become the USSA. The United Soviet States of America. I dont want it to happen, who does? But with obama is the house, this is how it will turn out.

It's always amazing to me how "selective" some people are in which freedoms they believe in vs. which ones they flat out refuse to allow to others.

The main reason Obama was elected Is because the alternative was John Mccain . While I have Immense respect for Sen. Mccain he was not a viable alternative . And Dubya and the Veep DICK made that decision all the easier . I do have some reservations about some of his appointments since none of them seem to have the ability to pay their taxes Including our Sec of the Treasury .

OK everyone, there seems to be different things going on on this hub in all different directions. I want to clear up what I meant when I wrote this hub.
I wrote this hub because I flat out do not like Obama. Thats why I love this country, is because of freedom of speech and we are all intitled to our own opinion. Do I think Obama was a mistake, yes! I think you all will have to wait and see down the road.
Look, I think every hubber who has commented on this hub loves America and wants to see Obama succeed and for America to turn back around, I know I do. Thats all we can hope and pray for!

Even though the ballot box is secret and sealed, I'll admit, I did not vote for Obama because I did not think he had the experience to be in the position to be the President of the United States.
That being said, I HOPE he will be a good President. Can't we all agree on that?
His latest commencement speech to the Arizona State University was good no matter if you were Republican, Democrat or Independent by nature and choice. They did not elect to give him an honorary degree because they thought that he did not have a large enough "body of work."

My heart also goes out to those hundreds if not thousands of soldiers who never returned home, well Im sure many families through-out the land are grateful now their sons are coming home alive?

You are so right John! My gosh, I'm glad you spoke up on this tragic reality. BUT, you are underplaying the seriousness here. Obama does not JUST support the killing of innocent babies, he actually DOES it.
That's right, I heard from a credible source that Obama kills two babies every morning before breakfast. He likes to play with them first, like a cat, you know, throw them against the wall, watch them crawl piteously away, broken, in agony and terror for a while, but then, eventually, when he's done, yeah, he kills 'em. Them he steps on a kitten before he heads for the Oval Office. Frankly, Obama's evil is incredible and I for one cannot believe anyone could have voted for him.

It never seems to fail when I make a comment concerning particular subjects such as this I get a negative reaction; But others who also made contrary comments such as mine get none. Since everyone's opinion is out there- yes, I think Obama is a mistake- and not based on anything racial of course (there's the disclaimer). Nothing in the hub mentioned it was mistake to elect a half black, half white man so nothing racial should even be discussed. When people turn things racial, the real topics and politics are being ignored. Many were/are afraid to discuss negatives about Obama because of racial implications. That's too bad. I gave up discussing Obama for this very reason.
My biggest complaint about Obooba was touched on in this hub- he lacks a patriotic backbone. He probably didn't even like this country before he was president. THat's egotistical thinking- his wife is already guilty of that. He's so full of himself it's icky.

Kiwi - I first must address your 2nd Amendment opinion - it is that your opinion of our constitution. You're quoting and then interpreting the heart of the amendment. This gives us, as American citizens the right to bear arms - the scope of the amendment is broad, and a political deal breaker.
I am a veteran of the United States Air Force, and the United States Army, as well as a retired police officer. So I can tell you from different aspects of this argument - that it is not cut and dry as you are seemingly trying to interpret the wording.
As for your support of the POTUS and his wife. You are wrong when you state that they were just ordinary citizens prior to his presidency. That is an opinion not based on fact - but based on what you would like to believe. It is much deeper that that - I won't go into specifics, but I suggest that you read "Fleeced" by Dick Morris, as well as "The Case Against Barack Obama" by David Freddoso. I do believe you will see the true meaning of this couple and the people that they stepped on in order to get where they are - including those who helped the both of them.
I am not going to continue any argument with you due to your history of posts on this topic - in case you are wondering, I am highly educated and have earned to different degrees in Community and Human Services and I am currently completing my J.D. So have no doubt about what I write or where my opinions are formed - they are formed by well thought ideas brought on by insightful documentation. I also suggest you read Richard Clarks 2004 assertion of Islamic Radical infiltration within the borders of the United States - you may withdraw some of your opinions if you happen to do so.

listen everyone OBAMA is the not the answer for america, quit being so damn stupid i mean seriously im tired of people trying to justify some of the stupid decisions that he had already made. the abortion law that he didnt single handedly pass but did vote for 3times it took that long to pass just goes to show that he should be in prison. i mean what happens if i just went out and killed someone right now? id be in prison right. no matter how you try to justify it it's still the same thing dont tell me its not. youtube it and youll see what im talkin about, and dont try and say thats all made up and i shouldnt believe what youtube says when obama himself actually gave an interview once again trying to justify his actions. i agree with john and anyone who doesnt well shame on you.im not sure who wrote in a comment that obama is a saint sent from god just shows how stupid they are. read your bible dummie it clearly states that this will happen and its no saint its the antichrist. o i dont know what im talking bout cuz it says that he will be muslim and obama not muslim. wrong again because it never says that he will be muslim it says he will come from MUSLIM DECENT, which last time i checked obama did. thats if you believe that, the bottom line is obama has nothing to offer the u.s except trouble which is exactly what were getting. but hey im stupid what do i know go ahead and vote him in for a second term that will just mean that everything is going according to plan.

I personally don't support a lot of the decisions Obama has made, but I would caution against all this panic.
First of all, just because he won't wear a pin of our flag doesn't mean he doesn't love this country. I'm a Christian, but I don't wear a cross on my chest. Does that mean I don't love Jesus?
And the whole hand over the heart thing...I remember reading somewhere that got blown out of proportion. It was actually "America the Beautiful" that was being sung. Last I checked, our national anthem was "The Star Spangled Banner."
And Obama isn't completely inexperienced as you have suggested. Yes, he's not as experienced as McCain or Joe Biden, but that doesn't mean he hadn't been involved in politics at all before election season.
The other day, I heard someone talking about the day Obama was elected. He said some people were crazily elated, while others were depressed and horrified. He said that both groups were at fault--one had too much faith in man, and the other didn't have enough faith in God. Think about that.
