Arthur Becomes King is a story written by T.H. White telling the story of Arthur and how Arthur becomes the King of England. The Sword and the Stone is an animated film about Arthur based on Arthur Becomes King. Arthur Becomes King and The Sword and the Stone are similar in some ways and opposite in some ways.

Arthur Becomes King and The Sword and the Stone are similar in the forgetting of Sir Kay’s sword. In Arthur Becomes King, Sir Kay, Sir Ector, and Wart are at the battlefield, when Sir Kay noticed he forgot his sword back at the inn, so Sir Kay sends Wart back to the inn to get the sword. Sir Kay forgot the sword probably because Sir Kay was anxious about the fight. This also happens in The Sword and the Stone. In The Sword and the Stone, Sir Kay forgets his sword, and sends Wart to the inn the get the sword. Sir Kay sent Wart probably to not make himself look like a fool going into battle without sword! The forgetting of the sword is similar in both stories, and so is the sword stuck in the anvil.

Arthur Becomes King and The Sword and the Stone are similar in that the sword Wart finds is stuck in an anvil. In Arthur Becomes King, Wart goes back to town to get the sword from the inn, but the inn is locked and ends up pulling a sword out of an anvil. Wart was probably scared he would get into trouble if he came back to Sir Kay with no sword, so Wart found one stuck in an anvil and removed it. This event also occurs in The Sword and the Stone.

Thanks for the read-
