Two Luxurious and Exclusive Gated Communities in Fort Worth, Texas - Montserrat and Mira Vista

Undoubtedly, some of the most luxurious real estate in Texas lies within the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Large custom homes, estates, and mansions can be found throughout the north Texas region in exclusive and private communities. Two such communities are Montserrat and Mira Vista in Fort Worth.  These communities have a reputation of premiere and affluent real estate.

Located in west Fort Worth along the west 820 North split, Montserrat is a tranquil gated community easily accessible to downtown Fort Worth. It boasts large homes, private amenities, and affluent residents. Montserrat began as a family ranch. Don Siratt, a prominent Fort Worth businessman who founded a trucking company, and his wife Gloria longed for a private ranch with close proximity to the city. The couple purchased 143 acres of green hills and pastures in west Fort Worth, a perfect location for a private ranch; however, when friends and family visited the land, they urged the Siratt's to turn the 143 acres into a residential development subdivision. After consideration, the Siratt's founded the community and named it "Montserrat", meaning jagged mountain.

You can't miss it. The large gated entrance with rock lined ponds sits right on the service road. The Siratt's vision within the gates includes large homes priced from $500,000 all the way to $5,000,000. The closely knit Siratt family, father Don and mother Gloria, have several children who have also built homes in Montserrat right next to each other.

Montserrat seems to encompass the family values it was founded upon. Amenities include large family residences, a park and walking track for afternoon fun, a clubhouse with pool for summer activities, club tennis court, serene landscaped atmosphere, green pastures, hills, and wondrous cliffs. Clearly, this luxurious gated community is homely for the affluent, yet family oriented.

With easy access to I20 and 820, Montserrat is minutes from popular attractions and towns. It's perfect; a country like, private atmosphere with easy accessibility to the "big city".

Montserrat, as stated on their website, is designed to "ensure each home site is landscaped with an emphasis on preserving and enhancing the natural beauty and unique features of the land."

Many prominent businessmen and women call Montserrat home. Minutes away from the city, many Fort Worth big wigs love Montserrat due to its country like setting and privacy. Some famous Montserrat residents include Bob R. Simpson (Founder of XTO, in 2010 ExxonMobil bought XTO for $31 Billion), Rory Sabbatini (Professional golfer), Christopher Fraser (President/CEO of Chemical Lime Company, America's top producer of limestone), and more.

Mira Vista is an upscale gated community in southwest Fort Worth. Although Montserrat is more exclusive than Mira Vista, Mira Vista is still very popular among Fort Worth residents. The southern and western parts of Mira Vista contain the biggest homes with average luxury homes in the northern and eastern parts. Either way, an address in Mira Vista is one to impress.

Six tennis courts, a private clubhouse, and an 18-hole golf course are all located within the gates of Mira Vista. Heavily wooded lots, private ponds, and several cul-de-sacs can also be found in Mira Vista. The rolling hills of Mira Vista hold homes ranging from 3,000 sq. feet all the way to 16,000 sq. feet (see pictures below). There are two notable homes in Mira Vista: one is 11,000 sq. feet and the other is 16,000 sq. feet. The 11,000 sq. foot home is currently for sale and listed for $4,895,000.

Mira Vista also holds one of the best country clubs in the nation.  Created and designed by professional golfer Tom Weiskopf, Golf Digest's Dan Jenkins ranks Mira Vista Country Club's hole #11 the best in the nation!  With every exclusive community comes an exclusive country club!

Most residents in Mira Vista are doctors. Very private lifestyles!
