If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and enjoy luxury real estate, this article is for you.  Upon researching for celebrities who call the Metro home, I learned that most mega mansions and famous houses around here are owned by wealthy businessmen, not celebrities.  So I compiled a list of businessmen and searched their luxurious pad; finally, I came up with a hot list of affluent businessmen and their mansions.  Enjoy!

1. Alan and Shirley Goldfield - Let's start with Alan and Shirley's famous estate, the Champ d'Or. With over 48,000 sq. feet of living space, this deluxe pad is listed on the market for just under $70 million dollars. Alan Goldfield is a retired CEO for CellStar, an advertising cellular company. The mega mansion is famous throughout the south as one of the biggest and most expensive estates in the United States.

2. Tom Hicks - Tom made his money by investing. He is one of the co-founders of the investment firm Hicks, Muse, Tate, and Furst and also created Hicks, Inc. Hicks was made popular by owning the Texas Rangers and other various sports teams.

3. Rex Tillerson - Rex Tillerson currently serves as the chairman and CEO of Exxon-Mobil Corporation, one of the leading oil and gas companies in the nation.

4. Trevor Pearlman - Trevor Pearlman is a tort lawyer who founded Tregan Partners and The Edge Group, a Las Vegas real estate company.  He lives in this 19,916 sq. foot French mansion.

5. Steve Aaron - Steve Aaron is the CEO of Stevens Transport, a refrigerated trucking company. With revenue exceeding $550 million dollars in 2008, Stevens Transport is one of the largest private companies in Dallas. Stevens Transport serves all of the United States, Canada, and Mexico.  This is his exclusive estate in prestigious Preston Hollow.

6. John Carona - John Carona is Republican member of the Texas House District 16.  He founded Associa with of which he now serves as President.  Associa is a prominent realty management firm based out of Dallas.

7. Eric Green - Eric Green is the CEO of Real Time Resolutions, a mortgage specialty service.  Real Time Resolutions is one of the largest mortgage companies in the United States; hence, the money made is paying for his 13,000 sq. foot Mediterranean beauty.

8. Issam Karanouh - Issam, along with his wife Marianne, reside in this Strait Lane Italian mansion.  As partners, they founded Intermandeco, a large residential developing company.  They live in this 12,000 sq. foot home.

9. Rich Templeton - Rich Templeton, the chairman, President, and CEO of Texas Instruments, lives in this Ranch getaway. Texas Instruments, usually known as TI, is known for revolutionizing the computer technology industry. Being an executive of a Fortune 500 company, he made nearly $10 million dollars as a salary in 2009.  This is his Parker, Texas home.

10. Richard Malouf - Richard Malouf is the founder of All Smiles Orthodontics.  He lives in this French mansion.

So there is my list. Obviously, there are hundreds more of affluent businessmen with mansions who call Dallas home. That being said, I would love to hear about them! Comment below and tell me some that I missed. Thats all for now, I hope you enjoyed the read.
